We chat with the creator of Larker. A beautiful bisexual themed publication celebrating our rich culture and history.
Patricia is a New York-based photography and video artist, writer, and collaborator. She is the editor and publisher of Larker, a large format zine with bisexual content as a focus. Patricia works as a freelance visual editor in New York, is the editor of Flare Arts Journal, and the co-founder of Teamworks Unlimited, a queer arts collaborative. In 2011, Patricia curated the first Luso-Brazillian Pop-Up Arts Festival in New York City, and has been writing cultural criticism about and around photography since 2010. Patricia studied Photography at Bard College (MFA); and at SVA (BFA), her work is showing at Ethnografilm in Paris this month, while her photographic work has been exhibited in a several independent socially conscious galleries in New York and New Jersey, as well as in the 2012 Berlin Biennale, Berlin (2012), and at the Phoebe A. Hearst Museum of Anthropology at Berkeley (2005). Patricia has participated in bi-cultural arts panels at Victoria University at Toronto, (Canada); University of California at Berkeley, (United States); and the University of Macau, (China).
